"We had a great stay at The Landing! The parking was a bit tricky to figure out at first (mostly because we preferred to self-park). You had to walk through the casino to get to the hotel which was no issue, but keep this in mind if you have anyone under 21 traveling with you. Valet was a pretty quick turnaround when we used it (within about 5 minutes).
Check-in was a breeze, even on Christmas Eve. Everyone we encountered staff-wise was incredibly nice. They do not have automatic housekeeping, but are very accommodating when you have a request (like fresh towels).
The breakfast was one of the most impressive hotel breakfast buffets I've ever seen. Everything was hot and fresh, and the tables were cleared frequently to help maximize turnaround (especially helpful during the holiday week!) Options rotated daily - corned beef hash, bacon or sausage and eggs, potatoes, and a sweet option like apple pancakes (think crepes, but wrapped in a pancake vs. a thin crepe). Coffee, juices, water, pastries, yogurts, and cereal were a standard.
We will definitely be returning to this hotel when we are back in Pittsburgh. It was a quick jaunt to everything we wanted to do! "
"Hip, well designed, unique boutique hotel. For a one night stay, this hotel had everything we needed and a cool vibe.
For a longer stay… gluten free, vegetarian menu options would have been nice.
Design was beautiful, but it is an older building and the street traffic is pretty loud. This is something to note if several night stay.
Convenient for us with one night, but the valet parking was $30 for the night and street parking was pretty nonexistent when parked almost on the bridge. "
"The staff here is amazing and went above and beyond. We had a family situation and unexpectedly needed to check into the hotel on Christmas evening. Kyren at the front desk was so kind and upgraded us to a much bigger room since there were 4 of us.
We enjoyed the beautiful Christmas decorations and food and drink. Thank you William Penn hotel for making our holiday bright!"
"The room was great and amazing! I didn’t use any of the utensils or microwave however. I was so shocked they had all that, I’m not use to my room having a microwave and stove. Staff was amazing, I really want to give credit to Mr. Deodis at the front desk for really making my stay welcoming. Class act and incredible human being! I was trying to tip him as well in addition to the housekeeping staff but couldn’t find him on my day of departure."
"I have always enjoyed Fairmont property’s.
The Fairmont in Pittsburgh is in a great location.
Waking distance to PNC Park, and lots of good restaurants also in walking distance.
The Strip District is a very short drive as well.
The hotel staff are friendly and attentive. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and modern.
There is a nice bar on the second floor and the brunch on the weekend is fantastic. "
