The property is very classy and well located. Neverthe less front desk staff is super slow (either the staff or the hotel's software) it took one hour to check in and the rooms were ready well after 4pm.
The blind of our room (1625) couldnt be raised, we reported but nothing happened.
We had never stayed at the Mandarin Oriental and glad we did, very nicely decorated and the amenities were great (nice pool, fitness area, dining with fabulous views), parking on premises, close to everything. It was a little pricey, but hey, it's New York!
Hotel was super clean. Staff was wonderful. Nice variety for breakfast and very good coffee. easy access to the subway. Not in the best neighborhood but didn’t have any problems whatsoever. Water pressure was fantastic and very hot water… Will definitely stay there again
Everything was fine. The breakfast was pretty lame, but was as advertised. I have learned, and so should you, not to just go on the overall rating on this website, but pull up the recent reviews. That's what tells the story. I eliminated several other hotels before landing on this one and consequently booked two rooms for coworkers the following week. I had no issues at this hotel and the recent reviews accurately reflect the experience you should expect.
