Eads is a very small town in Colorado that just happened to be half way between Rapid City SD and Lubbock TX. We had low expectations and were happily supprised by the cleanliness and professionalism of the staff and hotel. It was a wonderful stay in the middle of nowhere!! I was in Lamar for work and decided to try the Historic Cow Palace Inn based on their positive reviews. I had meetings prior to being able to check in and everyone I met with said the rooms are great and that the Tavern is the best restaurant in town. The lady that checked me in was very friendly and helpful. The staff at the Tavern (especially Johnny) were so kind. The room was like new, new paint, clean, and quiet. The bathroom and sink were up to date and in perfect working order. The staff was very friendly, told us the best place to park for where our room was, and made sure we knew when breakfast was, and answered questions about places to eat.
