"The staff was absolutely exceptional. My 9yo daughter dropped her stuffed animal when we were leaving to check out. Unfortunately we did not realize her stuffed animal was missing until we got to our next destination. It was an awful night for my daughter without it. I called Sea and Breeze the following morning and they had found her toy and offered to ship it to us. They called and gave updates on shipping. They were wonderful and so understanding about the situation."

"I planned a last minute one night trip to tybee and found a decent room at Desoto. The staff was nice and helpful. The shared spaces seems well kept. The only issue I had was the cleanliness of the room. My initial inspection of the room revealed that they do not clean under the mattresses (crumbs, hair, etc. under mattress) and they did not clean the bathroom well (still had hair and used rags/soap from the previous tenant in the shower). I think the house keeping just changed the sheets and emptied the trash bins and called it a day. I would say it was a relatively nice room for a last minute trip and reasonably priced compared to other hotels, but... you get what you pay for. Regardless, if I pay 200+ for one night... I would at least expect the bathroom to LOOK clean and there not be filth under the mattresses. Overall decent hotel to stay at considering budget and time frame, but the house keeping needs a little work."

"I had a pleasant stay overall, but I wanted to share some constructive feedback regarding the value. The staff was wonderful, and the property has a lot of charm. However, the rooms and facilities are feeling quite dated and are in need of some refreshing to truly match the premium rates. While I appreciate the hospitality, the current price point feels a bit high for the worn condition of the furnishings. With a few renovations, this place would be fantastic, but for now, it feels slightly overpriced."

"It is on the bay just so people are not expecting the Atlantic Ocean side but we were able to see a lot of dolphins and it was a super quiet beach that was easy to walk. The pool was great and proximity to the beach/bay. The bathroom floor was not in great shape and really needs re-done. Overall it worked well for my son and I."

"The staff were friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Location was great right across the street from the beach and close to all amenities. Pool was well maintained and clean. Great stay will definitely stay there again."

"We had a nice stay but the cleanliness of the bathroom was not great. The shower hadn't been turned off completely so there was water in the floor with hair in it. There was mold around the bottom of the shower. We found a large "dust bunny" made if hair and dust and dust in the bedroom floor as well. The bed was good, the kitchen was all we needed and the living area was ok. It just needs a good, thorough cleaning and paint touch up to make it better."

"I’ll start off with the positives: The room is air conditioned and spacious. The terrace can 3-4 people max. The fact that I was about 40 or so steps from the beach was the ultimate plus. I didn’t need to cook anything since there were restaurants left and right which were easily accessible for the location. They were even willing to offer an early check in which was cool. The negatives were not that many but noticeable. The room can use an upgrade (paint/updated appliances/Clean the mold and water stains). I get it, it’s the first floor but it’s still a place that you’re paying $400 for so you would expect to get your moneys worth. If you’re on the first floor then be prepared to hear anyone that will be staying above you and there isn’t anything you can do about it, that’s just the way the unit is built. I wished they showed the other properties for their location as additional options as I only saw the terrace and the apartment. They also have a hotel right next to the terraces which would’ve also been helpful. The parking was covered but tight, especially if someone is parked next to you. Overall I can give this place a 7/10, would’ve been a solid 9/10 if the upgrades were made."
