This is an amazing find tucked into the quaint harbor area of Lewes. The hotel is well-appointed and welcoming and the room was spotless, huge, and beautifully decorated. The little touches really made the stay, from the koi pond on the patio outside to the taffy on the pillows instead of mints. The pool was small but refreshing. The staff were friendly and seemed happy to help resolve any issues. Well worth it!
It’s so lovely; and prepare yourself to feel like you’re staying with a wealthy relative. When you text the help number, it’s a real person. The massage was incredible and very much first class, and the robes are delightful and not overpriced if you wanna bring one home.
Be careful and share if you have accessibility needs, or a heavy suitcase. Some rooms do require you to climb a flight of stairs with a landing. While the staff will likely help you - they’re very responsive - you’ll want them...
Staff was friendly, welcoming, and pleasant. Our room and common areas were clean. We loved the pool and balcony. Check out was just as smooth as check in.
Always a nice stay at the Avenue. The only thing I would change is the brand of coffee. I do not like their coffee it tastes weak and has no boldness at all to it. Everything else is wonderful. Please get a better brand of coffee, maybe from one of the local roasters in town. Having a good bold coffee and supporting local coffee shops in town would be a great addition to an already great Inn. Coffee starts your guests day, help make it a much
better start.
Good location close to everything. Stylish hotel. Amazing customer service. Very clean room. I would get better pillows though. Too soft. No head support.
EXELLENT from peanut ( the bird in the lobby ) the staff in the front tom in concierge mary at the front desk and everyone else at the hotel a great and friendly place to stay !!!
This property is outstanding for two basic reasons: location---the beachfront views are unbeatable (the ground floors may not have a view, it should be noted). Also, the staff were phenomenal. It seems that they are especially trained to be personable, interested, and thoughtful. Truly impressive 5 star quality of service.
The only thing that is unfortunate are our friends who require elevators. The hotel doesn't have elevators for the rooms with great views.
The breakfast was good and servers had safe gluten free options a frittata and muffin they are individually wrapped. They were kind, friendly, helpful and kept the place very clean.
We loved our stay at the Ocean Glass Inn. The rooms were cute and very comfortable, including a mini fridge and freezer. The showers were hot and we liked the added touch of a bench outside each room. The breakfast and happy hours were great and generous in what they offered. Staff was all very friendly. We were so happy to learn they would allow us to check out beach chairs and towels for the day. If there are any downsides, it’s not the easiest to make a left out of the inn (towards the...
I feel like we really lucked out with this stay. Planned only 2 weeks prior, we booked accommodations last minute and took a chance on Avondale. It was perfect! Right on Beach Ave. in Cape May, we had view of the ocean from our balcony area. Upon booking, I received a call within 30 minutes from Avondale to confirm our stay and to ask us if we were OK with with walking up the stairs to 2nd or 3rd floor as there is no elevator. Not a problem for us and the 2nd floor facing the beach was perfect....
Everything was excellent! The only concern was that there was often too much noise in the hallways at night and that should’ve been controlled by staff.
