My daughter and I were in town for one night to tour RPI. We certainly chose well with our overnight accommodations. Although the house is quaint, extra clean, and decorated perfectly, the star of our stay was the innkeeper, John. From the moment we walked in, it was like seeing an old friend. John was friendly, kind and took excellent care of us. His hospitality made us want to come back again....very soon.
Upgraded to really nice room. Very clean, well done, felt luxurious. HVAC was loud and vibrating, but I just turned that off. Wish they had glasses instead of paper cups, but otherwise very comfortable room. Especially for the price
Booking was easy. Arrival was smooth, even on a busy, rainy, local college graduation (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute) weekend . The new front desk manager had to untangle our multiple source reservation & handled it well, making us feel rightfully not responsible for the mix up. Appreciated her & her colleague’s kindness.

We had a very nice stay at the Union Gables. Proximity to the horse track and to downtown are really convenient. The pool is nice, breakfast was great, and the overall feel of the hotel was really nice. Would recommend. Justin did a great job, and his wife was very kind and helped us.
Albany is our airport, and I will never choose another airport hotel for late arrival/early departure nights. So much better than what I have experienced at other airport hotels - friendly, helpful staff; clean grounds, room, and public spaces; comfortable bed, adequate lighting, and clean fridge and microwave; easy check in; LOTS of dining options nearby. Heads up though: no coffee maker in the room.
The rooms were clean and nice. The bed was comfortable. I enjoyed the 24/7 coffee station. Ok water pressure in the shower wasn’t great but the products were very high end. Great staff. The area was fantastic. You don’t have to drive anywhere. Shops, cafes, restaurants, and much more right at your finger tips. Very cute town, a bit pricey.
We had no running water in our apartment so made reservations here. The staff was friendly and very accommodating, going out of their way to be helpful. I never needed to ask anything from them.
Went to Saratoga Springs for the horse races. Had a great time. Robin Hood was clean and affordable. Not the Hilton but took some of that money I saved on this motel to the horse races. Hotels downtown were 400-500 dollars for Travers weekend. We paid $150. We didn't spend much time there except to shower and sleep but I didn't haven't any issues and enjoyed our stay. Picnic tables and outdoor seating was perfect on a great weekend.
We liked that the hotel had a restaurant on the premises and the staff was very friendly.
We did not like that it was confusing to enter the parking lot and we had to walk carrying all of our bags up a hill to enter through the front to check in.
My husband and I stayed 2 nights. The room was updated for an older motel. It was decorated very nice with very comfortable beds, great pillows and nice bedding. It was quite and was surprised to get a voucher for a great breakfast sandwich and coffee from a deli next door. It was a short drive into town and to the track. Would definitely stay again.
I cannot say enough good things about our experience at the Hampton Inn. The staff was welcoming, informative, and kind. The lobby was warm with complementary coffee and tea, and the staff was happy to answer any questions. The room was impecably clean and the beds were very comfortable. Check out was at 11am, but we overslept... we received a courtesy call at 11:17 asking if we planned on staying another night or if we wanted extended check out. They were very understanding and accommodating....
Let me tell you how amazing this hotel is, they are very special needs friendly. We arrived after closing of the pool, upon hear my secretly Autistic son, wanted to swim the front desk gentleman open the pool just for him. All the front desk people were amazing and so helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to capital district.
