Learn more about Blowing Rock
Tucked into the Blue Ridge Mountains, this village offers a perfect blend of small-town charm and outdoor adventure. Main Street invites exploration with its boutique shops and cozy cafes housed in historic buildings. The town's namesake, The Blowing Rock, creates an unusual upward wind phenomenon that locals claim can return thrown items. Moses H. Cone Memorial Park offers miles of carriage trails through stunning landscapes. Thrill-seekers can hit the slopes at Appalachian Ski Mountain or enjoy the vintage amusement park experience at Tweetsie Railroad. After hiking Price Lake's shoreline trail, browse the Blowing Rock Art and History Museum for a taste of mountain culture. For spectacular views, the Mile High Swinging Bridge at nearby Grandfather Mountain isn't for the faint-hearted.

Meadowbrook Inn
"Great location. Parking was hard to find as signage was a bit difficult. Room was spacious. No food availability and limited coffee amenities in the morning."
Azalea Garden Inn
"It was so quaint, the cabin was adorable. The flowers in the gardens were beautiful . Did not feel like a hotel today. Only issue, the pillows were too big. I like soft and cuddly."
The Windmoor Hotel
"This is a lovely new hotel in Blowing Rock with a great location, beautiful furnishings and decor and nice amenities. The only downsides: the high closet rod with attached hangers were hard to use, and the loud exterior door next to our room that closed very loudly. Other than that it was quite nice."
Swiss Mountain Village
"Quiet and peaceful"
Blowing Rock Inn
"The room was nicely remodeled and clean. From Expedia and the hotel I received too many messages, texts, emails and had to download various attachments just for an one night’ stay. After filling out and signing an online check in form, they then want you to download an app on your phone to get you access to the room. If not, you still have go to the other hotel’s check in counter to get the code. Room was fine, just had to turn off the loud air-con and open the windows sometime during the night. Fire pits were nice addition, although one didn’t work. Hotel is located right in the heart of Blowing Rock."
Chetola Resort
"We had a very enjoyable stay. The room was very nice. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant not yet being associated with the hotel was a little annoying. We could not charge to our room nor get room service. The property itself is very pleasant and the walking trail around the lake is nice."
The Blowing Rock Manor
"Great stay in Blowing Rock! The Blowing Rock Manor was perfect in all ways. The room was super clean and the bed was very comfortable. The soaking tub was just what was needed after a day of hiking. The hotel was quiet and in walking distance to down town. Check in was easy and plenty of parking. Overall I give it 5 stars will be back for sure."
Hemlock Inn
"Very cozy inn and a great location. Nice room and lovely staff."
Boxwood Lodge
"Very easy to check in. Very clean with comfortable beds and pillows and I'm very picky with pillows. The rocking chairs and hanging plants were a welcome surprise and kurig coffee maker and coffee pods were good."
