Learn more about Blowing Rock
Tucked into the Blue Ridge Mountains, this village offers a perfect blend of small-town charm and outdoor adventure. Main Street invites exploration with its boutique shops and cozy cafes housed in historic buildings. The town's namesake, The Blowing Rock, creates an unusual upward wind phenomenon that locals claim can return thrown items. Moses H. Cone Memorial Park offers miles of carriage trails through stunning landscapes. Thrill-seekers can hit the slopes at Appalachian Ski Mountain or enjoy the vintage amusement park experience at Tweetsie Railroad. After hiking Price Lake's shoreline trail, browse the Blowing Rock Art and History Museum for a taste of mountain culture. For spectacular views, the Mile High Swinging Bridge at nearby Grandfather Mountain isn't for the faint-hearted.

Hemlock Inn
"We loved our five night stay at Hemlock Inn. Our room was very clean and comfortable. From check-in to check-out the staff was friendly and helpful. The gazebo with the fire pit was a great spot to hang out and enjoy before dinner in the evening. We loved that we could take a quick walk to shops and restaurants in the adorable town of Blowing Rock. We were also close driving distance to the Blueridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Boone, and other beautiful destinations. This was our first visit to Blowing Rock. We plan on returning and would definitely stay at Hemlock Inn again."
Blowing Rock Inn
"Room was clean and bright. Small issue with the ac/heating unit but staff was able to provide a solution. Look forward to future stays"
Holiday Inn Express Blowing Rock South by IHG
"The only thing I disliked was the A/C. It was too close to the bed and was not cooling the room enough. The staff was very nice and helpful."
Hillwinds Inn
"This was a nice 1 night stay and so close to many of the restaurants and shops. It is a quaint motel and a nice change from the Name Brand Hotels. I'd stay here again if I make it back to the Blowing Rock area."
The Village Inn
"The guestrooms were cozy and comfortable."
Mountainaire Inn and Log Cabins
"The Mountainaire is a throwback to the 50’s. Its quaint log cabin feel is cozy. The rocking chairs on the porch were welcoming and we made use of them to visit with other guests. The rooms are small but that was expected. The bed was comfortable."
Chetola Premier Condominiums
"Our stay at Chetola was wonderful. The townhouse we rented was spotless, spatious, well stocked and so comfortable. You can’t ask for a better location as it is so close to Blowing Rock, Boone, the Parkway and more. I love this property. Chetola is so old school and everyone that works there is so so friendly and helpful. My only complaint, and the reason for my 4 star rating rather than 5 is we could hear a good bit of noise from the people who were renting below us. I was a bit surprised by that because the property seems well built. Other than that, I would say, the rest was wonderful"
