Top neighborhoods in Detroit

Downtown Detroit
Central business district meets residential area, Downtown Detroit boasts historic architecture, skyscrapers, and parks. Explore attractions like Campus Martius Park, Fox Theatre, and Detroit Riverwalk, with convenient transport options nearby.

Corktown
Discover Detroit's oldest neighborhood, featuring historic Federal-style homes and charming Irish businesses. Enjoy a stay at the Trumbull & Porter boutique hotel or explore the walkable Mobility Innovation District around Michigan Central Station.

Midtown
Historic districts and cultural attractions abound in this area, with highlights like the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History. Independent retail outlets are on the rise, especially along the Cass Corridor.

Eastern Market
Eastern Market pulses with energy as vendors stack rainbow-hued produce and artisan foods in sprawling market sheds. Art lovers can wander between vibrant murals splashed across industrial buildings and eclectic galleries housed in historic brick warehouses. On Saturdays, the district transforms into Detroit's liveliest scene with food trucks, live music, and locals hunting for the freshest ingredients. The neighborhood serves up delicious soul food, Mexican, and Middle Eastern cuisine at casual eateries throughout the district. Most visitors explore on foot or bike, though the QLine streetcar and bus routes connect easily to downtown Detroit attractions. While accommodation is limited within Eastern Market itself, downtown hotels are just a short ride away.

Greektown Historic District
Indulge in authentic Greek cuisine at various themed restaurants and visit the Hollywood Casino while exploring this district. Easily accessible via the Detroit People Mover station at Beaubien Street.

Cambria Hotel Detroit Downtown
"There isn’t any on property parking. They do have valet $45 a night ( you can come and go has much as you want) or there is a parking garage we paid about 30 for 12 hrs. Probably should have did valet. Other than parking everything else was great"
Shinola Hotel
"Perfect stay in Detroit."
Hotel Indigo Detroit Downtown by IHG
"Great location to Comerica Park"
Atheneum Suite Hotel
"An excellent two nights stay! This hotel offered a comfortable room and very friendly staff. The front desk team was extremely polite and quick to assist. The bed was very soft and room very clean with an upscale design. Expensive but worth it."
The Siren Hotel, an Ash Hotel
"Enjoyed the stay. Great location and great view from the 13th floor. However, the room was not fully cleaned any of our 6 nights there. Room had sticky surfaces and objects that were not ours on the floor from day 1. The bad was made daily and fresh towels were also provided daily. The furniture was adequate but not as unique as in the pictures, more Ikea than vintage. Bed was very comfortable. Cocktail bar downstairs was a cool spot"
Detroit Foundation Hotel
"Very clean facility and room. Check-in was a little slow due to the employee not acknowledging me waiting since he was on his phone."
Trumbull and Porter Hotel
"Room was clean, area was very easy to get in and out of, bed was extremely hard so we didn't sleep great but it was nice and quiet. Staff was nice, some more helpful than others. Listed as secured parking but the gate never seems to close so not really secured. Wanted to pay cash for the room, was told it was card only but when our room card stopped working another desk person asked the person ahead of us if they were paying cash or card so unsure if training is needed or clarification on policies or something."
MGM Grand Detroit
"We only stayed for the night but the room was clean and had small water bottles offered complimentary. The Complimentary valet was a nice perk as well. Their fitness room is exceptional as hotel gyms go. We didn't go in the pool but it looked spacious and clean."
Fort Pontchartrain Detroit, a Wyndham Hotel
"Great location, right by the People Mover which is super convenient. The room was beautiful, however the bathroom and shower were super small. There were a few small things, like a load banging noise in the room adjacent to us at 9am (almost sounded like hammering to hang something up? Certainly wasn’t a guest) and the duvet being put on the wrong way (tag by our faces)."
