Lovely property located in a beautiful area. The photos online matches in real life, as in no heavy airbrushing. Staff are courteous ,friendly and professional. Quiet surroundings. Great cocktails at the bar! We are a fan of this establishment.
My husband and I had a brief one night stay but the location is great (very close to many restaurants and shops), the room was clean and comfortable, check in was quick and easy, and the complimentary breakfast was a great perk!
Enjoyed very much, however, expectation of adult oriented environment disturbed by a number of young children and crying baby. Hope this is more closely observed by the property.
We loved everything about our stay at Casa Secoya! The staff was so friendly and helpful and the grounds are beautiful. It may be noisier during the summer with the swimming pool right outside the rooms, but when we were there in February it was SO peaceful and beautiful! We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again some day to stay in one of the cabins.
The only thing that would have made this stay a bit better would have been a hot tub on site!
Cant say this enough, our group LOVED Highland Resorts in Guerneville and want to return. The cabins are beautiful and comfortable. The people friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a retreat type atmosphere this is a wonderful place to be.
Homewood is perfect for family. The property is clean, spacious, comfortable. It has laundry for client use, pool and gym. Also, the reservation includes breakfast which is great. The hotel is 7-9 minutes away from downtown of Santa Rosa. Hotel is on its own, have to drive around to go to restaurants but fortunately nearby places are 7-10 minutes drive only.
I was in room 12. Loved the deck and the view of the harbour. The town rolls up the sidewalks at 8, so very quiet at nite. Could hear the roar of the surf and sea lions barking at night. Friendly staff, good mattress, clean room. I will definately stay again. Only thing I would change is to have a mini fridge in the room.
The hotel and the room was very nice. The front desk staff was also very nice. But beware of the slippery bathtubs. They have a rubber mat that you roll out yourself, but it's very small. My husband fell out of the bath tub because of a mis-step. We reported it to the front desk and filed a report just in case. I think he's fine, but remember to step on the rubber mat and not anywhere else in the tub.
So the Inn and receptionists, waitstaff fine dining restaurant were great. Food was phenomenal too. But the majority of the staff at the restaurant across the street were cold, unfriendly and a bunch of prudes. I politely asked one of the waiters if i could sit at the bar and he said “Well can you? Like physically. Go see the hostess she needs to do a headcount.” I go see the hostess and she was like hmm 1 person not sure let me see. Made a face and spoke to her colleague. This was when they had...
We stayed here for one night. It was lovely. The room was delightful. The best part was waking up and seeing the river in front of the deck we went outside and had our coffee on the deck and sat there for a few hours enjoying this amazing amounts of birds and seals going back-and-forth on the river. We were so happy to have a noon checkout so we could just lollygag and soak up the enjoyment of the space.
A great location if you want to spend the day at the river, the cute downtown is all with walking distance. The properties could use some deep cleaning , new mattresses,and dusting, but otherwise we had a great experience.
The B&B was absolutely wonderful. It was close to many local vineyards, the coast, Napa, the redwoods, the Russian River, etc. Dana and Brian are so good about answering questions, the breakfast is amazing and their home is beautiful and welcoming. We hope to stay there again in future trips. Oh and Dana makes the best cookies every afternoon! :)
