We had a lovely large comfortable clean room off the pub gardens. The bathroom was huge and handicap accessible if you needed that. This is a really lovely place to stay. I was given the 2 bedroom cottage next door to the pub, and it is very well catered for. Kitchen, living room, dining area, etc. Bathroom was very clean. Great place for morning walks and dinner at the pub next door. Very quiet and peaceful. Will definitely stay here again.
Perfect place to stay if you are visiting the Jurassic coast or if visiting Somerset only would criticise the pink toilet paper in the white bathroom .The beds are also too comfy I overslept one morning
I've stayed here multiple times and it is a gem. Located close to the Bovington Tank Museum it has cozy rooms and a wonderful pub with a solid menu, including being extremely good for people with food allergies. I have celiac disease and having several gluten free options (e.g., starters, entres, deserts, beer, etc) at a small hotel is unexpected. The staff is also extremely nice and helpful and even put together a gluten free tradiitoonal breakfast to go since my train left before they...
The Bay Tree House was lovely. The room was clean and comfortable; Gary was friendly and helpful; and the location is a short walk to town. I also walked to both of Thomas Hardy’s homes. Max Gate was a leisurely ten minutes away; the cottage was a longer walk, but the route through the Dorset countryside was indescribably beautiful.
It was a great location in centre of town.
The parking reservation system worked well.
We appreciated that we had our two rooms located next to each other and on a lower floor so that we didnt have to carry too much luggage.
The coffee machine was appreciated too. The room was spacious and clean.
