Downtown Bend
Downtown Bend buzzes with craft breweries, farm-to-table restaurants, and boutique shops displaying handmade goods. The historic Tower Theatre hosts live performances while the Deschutes River flows nearby, offering scenic trails along Drake Park. Bond Street's brick facades house art galleries and cozy cafes where locals and travelers mingle beneath mountain views. Finding a bite to eat is easy with brewpubs and eateries offering local flavors throughout the walkable core. Boutique hotels and modern inns provide comfortable stays with mountain-themed decor. No car needed here—wide sidewalks make exploring this compact district a breeze.

Old Mill District
The Old Mill District brings Bend's industrial past into an artistic present with red brick smokestacks towering over riverside galleries and boutiques. Pedestrian bridges criss-cross the rushing Deschutes River, connecting walkways dotted with sculptures where the sound of flowing water mixes with live music. The Les Schwab Amphitheater draws crowds for outdoor concerts while nearby paths invite casual strolls. Dining options range from casual riverside cafes to upscale farm-to-table spots featuring local craft beer. Though limited lodging exists within the district itself, nearby hotels and vacation rentals put you within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and river activities. The area's excellent walkability and ample parking make exploring this creative hub a breeze.

Sunriver
Sunriver delivers outdoor adventure with over 40 miles of paved bike paths winding through pristine forest. The Deschutes River beckons with swimming holes and fishing spots, while championship golf courses cater to players of all levels. Kids splash at the SHARC aquatic center with pools and slides, and nature lovers explore wildlife exhibits at the Sunriver Nature Center. The Village at Sunriver offers everything from casual dining to shopping for outdoor gear. Most visitors stay in vacation rentals with full kitchens and private decks, though lodge rooms are available too. Getting around is a breeze with rental bikes and golf carts connecting all areas of this 3,300-acre resort community.

River West
River West combines laid-back residential charm with outdoor adventure along Bend's gorgeous Deschutes River. Stroll tree-lined streets to discover craft breweries and hip cafes lining Galveston Avenue. The neighborhood's crown jewel is its direct access to riverside trails where mountain views and rushing water create a perfect backdrop for morning walks or sunset strolls. Getting around is best done on foot or by bike, with most attractions within easy walking distance. Accommodation options include cozy vacation rentals and boutique bed & breakfasts tucked into quiet streets. For dining, expect Pacific Northwest farm-to-table cuisine at casual cafes where locals gather to swap trail tips.

Bend and related destinations
Between the Cascade Mountains and high desert plains, Bend offers outdoor adventures for every season. Float the Deschutes River on a summer afternoon, then sample hoppy creations at one of the city's 30-plus craft breweries. The last Blockbuster video store on earth stands as a quirky monument to nostalgia. Hike among ancient lava flows at Newberry National Volcanic Monument or explore underground lava tubes at nearby caves. Winter brings skiers and snowboarders to Mt. Bachelor, while mountain bikers claim hundreds of miles of singletrack when snow melts. Drake Park's mirror pond reflects the changing seasons, and the High Desert Museum showcases wildlife encounters alongside regional history. Don't miss Tumalo Falls, where the water plunges dramatically through pine-scented forest.

Pine Ridge Inn

Best Western Bend North
"Good stay. Property is clean but it's an older property. Good price good breakfast. Friendly staff."
Sugarloaf Mt Motel
"This is the cleanest and well maintained property I have stayed at in Bend! This will become my regular home away from home for all my future trips to Bend! The staff were friendly, helpful and seemed happy to be there! The property was well maintained, well lit and had plenty of security cameras on the parking lot! The rooms were extremely clean, no mildew smell like other places I have stayed in Bend! The breakfast was excellent as well! Incredible service and property at an affordable rate!"
Waypoint Hotel
"We were happy that we stayed here. Surprised housekeeping only comes by every otther days but it all worked out fine. Loved the fire pit inside and outside."
My Place Hotel - Bend, OR
"Clean room"
Juniper Preserve
"Beautiful place, very nice room. Breakfast at the Iris was terrible. Undercooked eggs, raw bacon and a burnt pancake. Skip the food, enjoy the rest."
Riverhouse Lodge
"Nice facilities and rooms but they need a bit of updating. The shower and tub need updating to more modern fixtures. The bed was decently comfy. The rooms with the outdoor fire pit are a nice option."
Campfire Hotel
"i loved my stay there. everyone was so nice and helpful!! 9/10 would recommend!!"
Central Block Motel
"We were quite impressed with the makeover of this facility, and were very pleased to have booked our short stay here. The Corner Block is a vintage motel but thoroughly modernized, and it is a stylish place to stay. The only category we gave an average rating was the amenities and that was only for the entertainment, or the TV. The television is actually new (as with everything in the unit), but my wife and I are not modern hence we do no video streaming. If you want video entertainment in the room, you will need your own streaming service. That said, we will definitely return on our next visit to Bend."
