The Lake Hotel Killarney
10/10 Excellent
"A magical setting where deer and swans wander by, and castles transport you through time. The hotel hits the perfect balance between providing every amenity without intruding on your peace. We loved our lake house stay and hope to return someday. "
"Like stepping back in time! Historic building that offers great comfort with modern touches but old, regal decor.
Parking is offsite. We used Glebe Public Car Park and wheeled our luggage down a sidewalk between buildings to get to the entrance. Not terrible.
We really enjoyed the step back in time. "
"This is a tough review since our previous stay was at a 5 star hotel. Facility was nice but parking was scarce, even though the hotel is in an open area. The rooms was clean, but nothing special. We didn’t partake in any spa treatments. I liked the lobby and dining room. Overall a decent hotel, just nothing extravagant."
"The room was beautifully appointed, the bathroom as well, all very clean and the staff were friendly. The scenery, their gardens, the ruins an neighbourhood farms all made it even more charming. The breakfast was delicious. Would love to come back and stay again! "
"We stayed here for a quick one night visit to Killarney. Location of this hotel is great. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Don’t plan on sleeping in a bit…. Housekeeping staff set up all cleaning carts and dirty laundry bags in the hallway and are talking loud to each other starting a little after 7am. Not considerate of sleeping guests. "
