"Free laundry machines but the gym was closed due to refurbishment. Rooms were fine although a little small and the sink was directly in the room rather than a separate bathroom. Breakfast had a good selection and only a 20 minute walk to the West Lake or a £2 taxi ride. "

"Received a room upgrade and had a nice breakfast with my kid. Next to West Lake, so can’t beat the location. Swimming pool is small but we enjoyed it anyway. Nice views from the terrace on the 6th floor overseeing the lake. Overall, a great stay. "

"Most beatiful hotel - even though most rooms are obstructed by tall trees (government requirement) to have views of West Lake, the 360 degree views are available at roof floor - a must in the evening when the whole Lake and distant city become enchanted. "

"Tip top cleanliness, the staff are all so warm and polite, they offered free hot drinks at the lobby all day long and midnight hot porridge. They even have free laundry service that deliver to your doorstep. Everything is good here, service is good and they even have all kind of aminities that if free at lobby for you. "The corridors look a little rundown but the rooms are fine. We had a balcony on the front of the hotel. The breakfast is top-notch and the breakfast room has a view of West Lake. The hotel is relatively secluded but in a perfect location by West Lake. There are lots of pictures in the hallways of famous people who stayed at the hotel like Vladimir Putin and Nelson Mandela."
