"The hotel is modern and in a good location near the airport. The rooms were well appointed and clean, with a comfortable bed.
However, we were disappointed with the restaurant when we ate dinner. I had the soup and salad, which were tasty and fresh. My husband ordered the pork schnitzel. The advertisement showed it with sauces and French fries. It came with only the meat and fries, no sauces. He had to put ketchup on it to make it palatable. My husband had a beer and I an Aperol Spritz, where fine.
While we were eating the table to was unsteady and screws were loose underneath. My husband was able to secure it somewhat, but we had to take turns holding the table top steady, so that the food didn’t fall into our laps. There was an elderly man next to us who had the same problem with his table, and the unstable table caused him to fall and sustained injury to his leg, arm and thumb. My husband jumped up to help him stand up, but the staff did nothing. Our bill was over 100 Swiss Franks, which was a bit higher than our experience afforded.
We had breakfast at the restaurant and it was nice.
Over all, the hotel was good, but I would avoid the restaurant for dinner."
"I requested and paid for a room update for the one night, bringing the total over $300. I didn't notice anything about the room that works make it an upgrade. It was fine, but small, had tap water, simple shower, and the location wasn't convenient. The breakfast was another $30 and could be called a Continental breakfast with the usual eggs/sausage and breads.
The reason I didn't rate lower was because it had really great artistic design and the staff was absolutely amazing, helping describe how to get to downtown Zurich."
