A wonderful rustic retreat after Chiang Mai. The grounds are a riot of orchids and flowering plants with a plunge pool and stargazing platform, The mountain towers one side and it is super quiet. Each bungalow has a porch with chairs to sit and marvel at the mountains. Showering outside is an exhilarating experience - with hot water and privacy, of course. Aaah.. maybe my best guest solo traveller experience ever, the host clearly has a matchless sense of welcome. Always caring, but discreetly, she was always here but like a fairy you don’t see. The staff was beyond nice! When I was scammed and left in a jungle village by a grab-driver, they went to come pick me up, gave me food and respected my wishes when I told them I was mainly there to relax on my own and didn’t want to be disturbed all too much
Although the hotel was about an hour to an hour and a half away from town and other activities, and they do not arrange transport, the breathtaking views and very caring staff made it all worth while. Hotel Grounds were unbelievable, breakfast and pool area fantastic, and its location is right next to the elephant camp and long neck village. I will definitely be going back there and no where else.
