"Lovely hotel and very convenient for restaurants and central Taunton"

"Although spacious, the room at our arrival was very cold. After having asked twice about it and that we needed two towels as we were two people, yet no heating was switched on. Later in the day, after a long day out, we spoke to another member of staff who final managed to give us two towels and switch on the heating. The hotel is very very old but it reflected on the price."

"Brilliant staff… couldn’t do enough for us. Place is really well presented.. stunning views from garden/garden room. Excellent food. I would just suggest.. adding some electric vehicle charging points."

"Try get a Seaview room as if your facing the town it's very noisy. Also mattresses very cheap and uncomfortable. Decor needs refreshing and a larger TV, something bigger than a shoe box"

"Room was ok but dated bed was uncomfortable as i could feel the springs sticking into my back the entire night and when trying to get hot water out of the shower the water was only dripping out "

"It was ok for a cheap few hours sleep after travelling, was a little annoyed that the shower gel had run out and hadn't been topped up prior to my arrival but I just used the hand-wash that was likely the same anyway! Check in was simple at 2.30am and I was gone by 8am."
