"The staff were very friendly on check in, and any other time we talked. The room, a superior queen was the perfect size. The room had plenty of space, I was a solo traveller. The wifi was good. The breakfast was very good. Be sure to double check the breakfast times. The listing in my room did not match the reality. Very minor issue. The location is perfect, 20 metres from the station. And an easy walk into the old town."
"Great place! Nice and clean. Breakfast buffet was the highlight…amazing spread. Only couple of negatives - there was construction in the property. Was a little inconvenience. Location is not great. Right on the edge of a commercial port and a little away from central Stockholm"
"Fabulous breakfast included taken in the lovely roof top restaurant. I’ve never had such choice & never a donburi bowl as an option.
The hotel also has a gym & laundry facilities for guests.
All staff were helpful and friendly, our room had a great view and was spotlessly clean.
The hotel is in a great location near tram & underground stops and only a short walk from the main bus and train stations. There are plenty of dining options close by."
"Hotel Birger Karl is welcoming with very helpful and thoughtful staff; my room was relatively (double) spacious and well designed with contemporary decor and tub in which one can soak as well as a good shower and it was very clean. On the main floor there was a comfortable lounge and waiting area and...the breakfast was incredible with fresh fruits, yogourt, different breads, a selection of hot items, cereals, espresso and much more. I had one dinner there and while the menu offerings are small, the ingredients were high quality and everything was expertly prepared (&generous portions)."
