Learn more about Montreux
Along the flower-lined promenade, Lake Geneva sparkles while Freddie Mercury's statue strikes an eternal pose. The cogwheel train to Rochers-de-Naye delivers Alpine panoramas worth every switchback. Château de Chillon rises from the water like a medieval dream, its stone walls holding centuries of secrets. During the legendary Jazz Festival, music fills every corner of town, from grand venues to intimate cafés. Belle Époque palaces stand as elegant reminders of when European royalty discovered this microclimate paradise. Duck into Musée de Montreux for local history before wandering the Christmas Market, where mulled wine warms hands while shopping for handcrafted treasures. For a perfect afternoon, grab a lakeside bench and watch boats glide by with snow-capped mountains as backdrop.

Hotel Parc & Lac
"We stayed in a family room, which was lovely and spacious. Comfy beds and nicely decorated with high ceilings. It was a bit warm without air con but fans were provided. Breakfast was good value with a nice selection available. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect!"
The Freddie Mercury Hotel
"Everything we expected"
J5 Hotels Helvetie Montreux
"Very clean room. Staff all friendly and spoke English and French to us. Excellent location for the lake, train station and all amenities. Good water pressure in the bathroom. Comfortable beds. Corridor looks a bit run down but the rest of the hotel is fine."
Hotel Continental
"The retro style refreshed rooms were fantastic! New air conditioners saved the day during the heatwave. Staff were exquisite in being helpful."
Royal Plaza Montreux
"Great staff."
Hôtel Bon Port
"Staff is beyond helpful and hotel is one minute walk to the lakeside promenade"
Mona Montreux
"You cannot beat the location. Very close to the train station and right on the main walkway that lines the lake. While I have read others rave about the breakfast, we did not feel the same way. 30CHF was a bit steep. While there was a wide selection of food - pancakes, an egg station, cheese/meet and fruit, we thought most of the prepared food didn't taste that great, just lacked seasoning, but I guess to be expected from a buffet. I think if you are going to get breakfast from here it is almost better to order stuff individually or find a cafe nearby. Other than that, the staff were all very nice, the free coffee, water, candy and popcorn station was a hit with our son and we enjoyed being able to step right out of the hotel and walk down the pathway along the lake."
Hôtel de la Rouvenaz
"Hotel is less than a minute from the lake side, lovely for feeling in the heart of the action. The staff were always friendly and helpful, the restaurant is also worth a visit!"
