"Very easy check in, everything could be done straight from my phone. Our room had a beautiful view of the mountains, it was very quiet apart from being woken up by the church bells at 5 am but this is expected in many Swiss towns and villages."

Then the warm welcome continues in the room finding chocolate fruits etc .. and very attentive staff at the breakfast the next morning helping out with a last minute one for me. Effye was also super nice and helpful and very accommodating! Overall an amazing feeling making me want to come back and I already wished I stayed in the area a second night just because of your hotel! Felt relaxed thanks to this atmosphere! "

"The most uncomfortable accommodations but inexpensive Appenzell you can’t be picky if you’re on a budget. The room, including the en suite bathroom is no bigger than a standard American bathroom, airless, windowless, and claustrophobic. We did not sleep, no air quality controls. However, the establishment is charming, the breakfast was ample and the staff is ultra kind and the hotel\restaurant is a five minute walk from the train station and superbly located- loved Appenzell and the surrounding outdoor activities that’s for sure."

"Couldn't have been better or cleaner or easier to manage! And laundry was free! In a country where things are so expensive relative to home, this was a nice gift. Would stay here again a hundred times over. They were super responsive and helpful with every question I have. Great location to boot!"
