Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American
10/10 Excellent
"Great hotel in a safe, walkable area of Amsterdam. Other than going to the airport we were able to walk everywhere. Beautiful park area and canal just across the street. Breakfast had a lot of variety and staff were friendly. Highly recommend!"
"Breakfast not included. They didn’t accept any cash, just cards. Room was small, but clean. No amenities, not a cup of coffee or tea, no kleenex in the room. No face washcloth, but that is typical in Europe. The hotel was located a block from the central train station, very convenient to everything! Great place."
"Our room seriously smelled of mildew, so much do that my husband had a reaction. The room seemed damp particularly when the air conditioning was turned on."
"They’ve cleaned up the property quite a bit. The elevators are slow a couple been out of order for a long time they should fix that.
My room was fabulous with the balcony but just too many cruise ship passengers. They need to figure out a way to check in regular people instead of having to wait behind 50 very old people. The lobby is just too crowded. They need to do a pre-check-in or something. Other than that, it’s OK if you don’t mind waiting in long lines."
