This is a unique property which is somewhat isolated but about 20 minutes from Syracusa and we were able to get an Uber pretty easily. We had a rental car and went to Arenella Beach which was great experience which I feel was a real authentic Sicily lido experience. We paid 5 euro for the parking 25 euro for 2 chairs. La Casa di Melo was our first stay at an agriturismo and without a doubt, one of the highlights on a 10 day Sicilian vacation. The fixed price dinner was the best we had and the easy going service was extremely pleasing and relaxing. Breakfast was equally outstanding with all types of homemade, fresh Sicilian goodiesI I wish we had been able to spend more time and use the pool and walk the orchards.

The hotel is located close to some of the major attractions...the archeological museum and the Greek theater are not far away. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained. There is an excellent cable service that includes CNN and the BBC. The breakfasts are superb. The management is friendly and attentive. The hotel has a certain classic charm. I have stayed here many times and am happy to recommend this hotel.
