"This hotel is better in person! We enjoyed swimming laps in the pool and relaxing in the hammock on the roof which was a magical place to watch the sun rise over the town and Lake Chapala. The room was clean, bed very comfortable. Only wished they had coffee in the room. They did allow us an early check in which we greatly appreciated! "This is a working class neighborhood so don't expect fancy restaurants or multiple metro lines nearby. In addition, the restaurant next door has live music on weekends deep into the night so this is not the place to be if your goal is to spend lots of time in the hotel room. There are lots of cute coffee shops in the area. There is a street market that runs Thursdays and Sundays. 3 blocks away is the main street with more shops, restaurants and an even bigger street market. The hotel staff...

"Our stay was lovely. It was peaceful and quiet. At night we could hear the waves from the lake and we woke up to the sound of birds. The gym had everything we needed for our workout. We never took advantage of the pool, ping pong table, pool table or foosball, but we did soak in the jacuzzi and soaking tub. "

Only one complaint: I like a hard mattress, but my bed felt like a rock. I mean, the absolute hardest mattress I have ever slept on."
