We traveled with friends, and this hotel was perfectly located on our way from Split to Plitvice Lakes. We didn’t want to stay in the city; we were looking for something small, right on the water, with a local feel and very few tourists — and that is exactly what we found.
The breakfast was absolutely fantastic — honestly, the kind of breakfast you would expect at a six-star hotel. Everything was fresh, beautifully prepared, and such a wonderful way to start the day.

Ms Claudija is a treasure! She gives great advice and tips to get around. She went above and beyond to show us how to get to her property. The rooms are clean! It had a small refrigerator, wine and tumbler glasses, utensils, etc. She provides washing for 10 Euro a small load. The house is conveniently located to everything. There is private parking for a fee. I felt very safe at House of Claudija.
This was an amazing place to stay b/c of its location is close to EVERYTHING and the Host was a jewel! So helpful, kind & funny! She catered to our every whim also went above & beyond!
The location is safe, well lit & with the Bakery & convenience store both within 300 yards from us, we didn’t want for anything!
I recommend this place highly to anyone wanting to be treated like a King or Wueen!

Host was very friendly and helpful in recommending restaurants and other things. Nicely located to Marina Baotic from which there is a boat taxi into old town Trogir.
Once we decided to stay outside of Split in the neighbouring town of Trogir, Brown Beach Hotel was an easy decision. On arrival, we were seated in the gorgeously designed lounge for the check in process, during which we were offered sparkling wine and cold towels to freshen up. Then we were shown to our rooms, which were equally pretty, and very spacious to boot. I had a front facing room, so had a lovely view of the Adriatic waters. The apartment was lovely and the location was excellent. We loved the proximity to the beach and the easy walk to the store in the morning for fresh, warm bread. The property manager welcomed us with a wonderful cheese and meat tray and surprised us with a home cooked meal on our third night there. I would highly recommend Villa Aquamarie.
This excellent property could not have been nicer. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was great. The host waited for me to arrive and was so helpful. I would go back in a heartbeat.
Great place to stay if you need to be close to Split airport, which is less than a mile away. The hotel staff arranged for a shuttle at 4:45 AM for my party of three. They charged five euro flat fee to take us. They recommend you contact them 48 hours in advance to arrange. Everything at the hotel was clean and comfortable. There are one or two decent restaurants within walking distance. It’s also about a 10 to 15 minute walk to a pretty beach.
