Hotel Vila Rova

10/10 Excellent

"The room and bathroom were small but clean, and the bed was comfortable. We were on the ground floor and had probably the only room with only a partial sea view. Half of the view was the restaurant. Breakfast was very good - you order from a menu rather than having a buffet. Weather depending, you could sit poolside or in the restaurant. The only drawback was that the A/C was set so it could not be lower than 21°C/70°F. For many that would be fine. For us it was uncomfortable and made it hard to fall asleep. The grounds were beautiful, and the beach bar affiliated with the hotel had a great selection of food and was a popular place for many, not just the hotel guests."

"Brilliant apartments just close to the sea, very well equipped, modern and spotlessly clean. We were upgraded to a larger top floor one which was greatly appreciated. Free parking too which helps. Beach bar nearby, a short walk to the centre of Malinska, lovely coves, beaches and walks nearby, all in all superb. Wish we had stayed longer. Don't miss the abandoned Haludovo Palace hotel nearby too, urban decay exploring at it's finest....."
