"From arrival, the reception was outstanding. We were expecting a hostel type of experience because of the cylinder rooms, but were amazed with the property layout, the lovely pool and bar, and the beachfront access. The property was well maintained and secure. Breakfast was wonderful, especially sitting on the 2nd deck of the bar, with an oceanfront view. The bed was comfortable and hot water was excellent. There are showers to wash the sand off when coming from the beach. There was also an amazing selection of surfboards for those wanting to surf. The sunset was amazing. You could walk to any restaurant just blocks away. I was impressed at every turn from start to finish, including the 12:00 check-out time. Definitely recommend."

"There is only ONE thing that caused 2 separate problems. The staff is not intimately familiar with reading the room numbers on the room keys. Our party of 4 arrived and were directed to a building on the property with two separate room keys. One key did not match any room in the building and the other key matched an OCCUPIED room in an adjacent building. Frustration at the least and a potential security issue. The key issue was eventually resolved…..eventually. Our family finally settled in. At one o’clock in the morning, I was awakened by our sliding glass door opening. It was a drunken group attempting to enter our room. Apparently they also had a key to our room. Fortunately, the group realized they were entering the wrong room. The site appears to hand out keys randomly or has multiple duplicate keys. Aside from that the view is lovely and the swimming pool with swim up bar is awesome. Beware of security issues. Be very aware."

"This hotel is very beautiful, but something to keep in mind. The food and beverages from the restaurant are very over priced. Just as an example a glass of Prosecco was roughly 22-25$ (USD) which is enough to just go out in town and buy your own bottle. Also, the breakfast for just my wife and I (buffet breakfast) cost us roughly $70 USD. The breakfast selection was basic and not impressive at all. We basically wondered what we paid 70 dollars for when we saw our choices. The property is beautiful and the service was amazing! Please keep in mind it is in the jungle so you will hear jungle noises at night. Which is to be expected and honestly I thought it was pretty neat."

"I traveled here alone in early September. The property was beautiful! The rooms were very clean and modern, and the proximity to the beach was amazing. The property is secure - I felt very safe there. The food was incredible, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. I hope to come back with my family soon!"

"After having a bad experience at a previous hostel we drove down the block to Jaco Laguna in hopes of finding a last minute place to stay for the week. The staff was extremely accommodating and we managed to book a beautiful room and check in immediately! The price was very fair considering its amenities, our room even had a lovely balcony with a private staircase right to the pool. The breakfast was free and delicious, and the location was amazing with beach access straight from the hotel, a surf school right next door, and even cafes, restaurants and a deli all within walking distance. Overall a fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend! :)"
