What a delightful experience! We decided to splurge and stay in a Château since we were going to the Loire Valley, and were so glad we did! Our room was in one of the cottages, so it was quiet and felt like we had our own house. The breakfast at the Château was wonderful, particularly for the view. Outstanding service as well! Great proximity to Tours and the chateaux.
This was one of the most romantic and enchanting places we have ever stayed. The grounds were beautiful, the hotel was stunning, the 7 course meal was unforgettable. We were there in spring so it was like our private home. We didn't have time to use the spa facilities but from what we saw they too were most likely splendid. If you are a king this place might only be adequate, but for us mortals this is over the top.
Exceeded our expectation. Huge attic room for three of us. Very clean. Super friendly staff. The restaurant in the hotel is amazing. I literally looked up why it was not Michelin rated using AI, and the answer I got was the food critics don't usually travel far south to the rural area. Everything (including appetizers, entries, deserts) was fantastic, definitely comparable if not better than some of the Michelin restaurants we tried in Paris. We will definitely come back to this hotel if we go...
Manoir de Basses Rivieres is a hidden gem! The property is lovely, beautifully maintained, serene, and fascinating. Be sure to explore all of the caves which are on the grounds, which have been utilized since Troglodytes lived in this area. Guillaume and Arthur are gracious hosts, and the rooms are elegantly and thoughtfully appointed. Unbelievably perfect place to stay! Note: Be sure to reach out to them directly before your arrival, as accessing the hotel is a bit tricky.
Loved the hotel, the owner was so helpful and his suggestion for a French restaurant was the best French food we had while visiting France. Very clean, comfortable beds and lovely linens.
This is a lovely property located right in the heart of the city. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The front desk could not have been any nicer. We would highly recommend this hotel. It is a little hard to find on a street that is hard to find, so print out a good map.
Stayed here impromptu the night after the 24 Hours of Le Mans after I decided I didn't want to spend another night camping, and was very impressed! Super friendly staff helped me out with bag storage the next day. Air conditioning was greatly appreciated as well.
Exquisite property in the perfect neighborhood. Close enough to walk everywhere but far enough away from the train station to be quiet. Across the street from the fabulous Les Halle market. The staff were delightful. We can highly recommend that you stay at Les Tresorieres!
This place is fantastic. Built into the rock in the 1700's and was updated in 2002 by the current owners. The swimming pool at the top with the suana and changing rooms is breathtaking.
I don't understand why this is not a 5 star hotel.
There is only 18 rooms and you feel that you have the whole castle to yourself. The food is excellent, the staff is amazing, the place is so relaxing and there is a story from ww2 that happened there.
Best hotel I stayed in France, better than some 5 stars hotels.
Chateau de Nazelles was a lovely place to stay and use as a base for seeing a few Chateaus within 40 minutes. The owners and their staff were especially friendly and offered very thoughtful hospitality. Our accommodations were unique and very comfortable. Just be careful making the turn into the Chateau - it is very narrow and the large stones that have been there a long time are not forgiving. Our rental car didn't have a great turning radius so this was something we really needed to watch...
We stayed 15 days in France and this was our favorite hotel.. Room was exceptional staff was fantastic with excellent Wifi and Free Parking. We just loved this hotel. This is 5 stars plus..
Now the downside.. The Parking is horrible. You need to almost be a stunt driver to even get into the gate of the hotel. A sub compact barely fits. I suggest they somehow expand the parking so the cars easily fit into the gate and lot.
