Nascar Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Lovely hotel with an interesting long history! The two sisters and cousine running it, will tell you all about it with charme. We loved our room, spacious and well airconditioned. The restaurant is one off the very best in the area. The beach club has free beds and umbrellas but watershoes are recommended as the pebbles gave me sore feet. The views of the small rock formations in the sea are rather stunning. Be aware of the undercurrant in the water. People have died here from swimming out to far. A lifeguard is present."

"We were absolutely elated by this place! Cala Gonone exceeded our expectations in terms of a beautiful coastal area that isn't mobbed like some other portions of Italy. Hotel Miramare is beautiful and right next to the beach. Parking was a little unclear and we got a ticket, so be aware of parking rules and finding a spot. The staff was very friendly and helpful with many suggestions. Our room was fantastic - complete with TWO balconies. The south balcony was a bit warm for our tastes but the east balcony (facing the beach) was shady and comfortable. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We asked for extra pillows, which they promptly brought to us. We enjoyed the outdoor grill for dinner one night and really enjoyed the preparations. The breakfast buffet in the morning had all of the fruits, meats, perfectly-prepared eggs and pastries we could hope for, and the staff graciously let us get an early start on breakfast the morning we rented a boat. The atmosphere throughout was light, clean and uplifting, enhanced by the ultra-friendly staff. It's not even a question that we will return here on our next trip to Sardinia."

"This hotel was great! Staff were all very nice and helpful. We stayed in June and they had a great buffet breakfast each morning, plus drinks and snacks available the rest of the day. The pool was really nice and not too busy. Would recommend staying here. Only downside is that it is up on a hill (like everywhere else) and its about a 15 to 20 minute walk down to the city center."

"This resort hotel still looks new and modern. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were all really helpful. Breakfast was great - there is a buffet breakfast, but cooked dishes are chargeable as extras. The hotel bar is also really good. We stayed one night which was a mistake, because the resort has many facilities - like the swimming pool, private beach area, massage area, etc. - which you don’t really get to enjoy during a 1-night stay. This hotel is best enjoyed as a multi-day stay so that you can enjoy ALL the facilities."
