Learn more about Ravenna
Beneath unassuming exteriors, Ravenna's ancient churches hide the world's most dazzling Byzantine mosaics. The Basilica of Sant' Apollinare Nuovo and Mausoleum of Galla Placidia showcase walls that shimmer with gold and jewel-toned glass fragments. Dante's tomb attracts literary pilgrims, while locals gather in Piazza del Popolo to debate the merits of competing piadina flatbread vendors. Rent a bicycle to navigate the city's extensive network of paths, stopping to refuel with Sangiovese wine. The Teatro Comunale Alighieri offers performances in a setting that would impress its namesake poet. For a complete change of pace, Mirabilandia theme park provides thrills just outside town. Don't miss the Candiano Canal, connecting this inland treasure to the Adriatic Sea.

NH Ravenna
"Breakfast not included which was fine with us. Asked at front desk where we could go get an espresso and they said we could just get it in the hotel breakfast room. All other hotels had either a hot pot in room or allowed a cup of coffee from breakfast restaurant. Went in and got it and my friend got hot water for tea. Got stopped by a very rude woman who all but yelled at us. Had to pay more for that cup of coffee than I did anywhere else in Italy!! At least the hot water was free. I had no problem paying for the coffee but was very put off by the attitude. Everything else about the hotel and staff were truly lovely."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location was perfect between the train station and the touristy parts of town. The room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was delicious with so many options. We really appreciated having access to drinking water. We really enjoyed the courtyard bar in the evening."

"Clean room however, ac not so good"
Terme Beach Resort
"Great sea view room ,walk out onto beach with own patio furniture & great sun beds / umbrella. The sea was a little choppy & murky though. Spacious room with sky tv, beach towels , mini fridge & bathrooms and a superb double rain shower in the bathroom. Bed was a little too hard for my liking & AC could be better. Breakfast was really nice with lots of offering for continental. We walked along the boardwalk in front of hotel for local restaurants & had some lovely meals. Walking left for 25 minutes takes you to the centre. We had fabulous pizza at baba beach which was very busy always a good sign and gelato at an ice cream shop across the road. Here you can find shops & pharmacies etc. Overall a very good stay but perhaps over priced,"
Grand Hotel Mattei
"Le personnel à l'accueil est très serviable."
Hotel Bisanzio
"We stayed overnight for a cruise ship and it served its purpose well. It located very close to everything interesting in the old town with lots of places to eat. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. I like the place, but probably won't stay again because at night there is no staff at all. We had a medical emergency at 2:00 AM and my phone didn't work in Italy. I went downstairs and there was nobody to help. I tried to use their phone to call 911 but couldn't get a signal. It was scary. I ended up using my emergency 911 on my phone get help. Later I called the hotel to tell them what happened and that we're late check out. They were very accommodating and understanding. They helped us expedite our departure as we almost missed our cruise boarding. The place is excellent, but ask them how to get emergency help at night when you check in if you stay here."
