I wasn't sure what to expect, because it's a hostel. You don't get your own bathroom, but they are clean and well kept. Also, if you have mobility issues, this might not be for you, since there are steep stairs to the rooms. If you're looking for a quiet place outside of the Wellington bubble, this may be a good spot. Room was beautiful, beds were comfortable, and staff was accommodating. We arrived after 12am and they were helpful arranging a late check in

The BK motel in Petone was one of the best motels i have stayed in, the service was quick and effiecient the rooms were clean and of high stsndatds. I would reccomend this establishment to people who are wanting a private relaxing stay in Petone 5 Stars and more.

We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment for several weeks. The place was excellent, and the staff were very helpful.

Air conditioning worked perfectly. Room was immaculate and kitchen had all the utensils I needed.

I stayed at this property for 9 days and it had everything one needs including a fridge, microwave, oven, sink and every kitchen gadget along with dishes, utensils, and pots and pans. My room was clean and well appointed. My room was essentially a studio apartment. The prices are very reasonable. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Green Gables will be my go to stay on my next trip to Lower Hutt, Wellington.

Close to museum and other attractions. Room is small but very well organized No view from our room but that didn’t matter. We had a nice stay

I was born and raised in Wellington but haven’t lived there in 22 years. I know the city well and perhaps I’m biased because I grew up a few blocks away. However, I cannot stress this enough, this hotel is in the best location. It is a true gem among chain-affiliated hotels with all the charm of an operating room. The interiors are beautiful: industrial manor-loft vibes. High ceilings, antique furniture mixed with modern pieces, dark green tiled bathrooms, and an extremely comfortable...

I don’t know what to say, really, as words would be impossible to convey the charm, beauty, and real friendliness of the proprietors! We were overnighting for the inter island ferry leaving Picton so only stayed one night but wish we had time to stay longer. The accommodations were first rate and literally everything that was needed was provided plus more. If we had lacked anything, our hosts would have gladly provided it. Ok location not far from Petone rail station which costs $5.50 peak and $4.50 off peak each way in to Wellington. Two supermarkets just down Jackson Street easy walk, Countdown and Pak and Save. Good room facilities including cooking facilities. Two TV's in one bedroom apartment. Plenty of eateries close by. Most of all.....It was CLEAN and spotless and a credit to their staff.

This hotel had only opened three weeks earlier when I visited, but it was already operating smoothly.
