This is the worst hotel experience I have had in a long time. But let me start by saying that the bedding the linens were very nice. Everything else was terrible. The room didn’t have a microwave, fridge, wifi, and everything was covered in dust. The housekeeper didn’t wipe down the furniture and there was sticky stuff on the nightstand from the last guest in that room.
The venue was across the street from a city park who was having a loud concert. Not the hotel’s fault, so I asked to move my room to the back side of the building so it wouldn’t be so loud for us while we’re here for work. We moved our belongings into the room in the morning, but when we got back in the afternoon our lock on our door was broken and we had to sit in the hallway on the floor for 30 minutes while we waited for their repair guy to let us into our room. The front desk offered us a free breakfast in the restaurant downstairs to compensate for the inconvenience, but even then when we went down there this morning they had one waitress running the whole Sunday brunch by herself. The free breakfast was horrific. We finally just got up and walked out after serving ourselves coffee and waiting over an hour for eggs because we had work to do. We still left the waitress a few dollars as a tip because it looked like she was overworked and understaffed. So we wound up paying money for a nonexistent free breakfast that should have been complimentary to begin with.
We were really excited to stay here at first.
