Breakfast: Absolutely terrible. The so-called “live station” chef clearly needs a lesson in how to make eggs properly. The menu never changes — bruised oranges, a tinned-era fruit cocktail, the most basic breads imaginable, and coffee from a mass dispenser. The entire spread feels cheap and outdated.
Room & Sleep Quality: While the rooms are spacious, they’re far from appealing. The bed and mattress were so bad that I left with a backache lasting a week. Comfort clearly isn’t a priority here.
Facilities: The gym was acceptable, but only because it’s barely used — not because it’s well maintained. Strangely, there’s an ice machine on every floor but no filtered water dispenser. Guests are handed a single plastic bottle of water at check-in, and that’s it. Everything else is single-use plastic — cutlery, butter tubs, cups — so much for being eco-friendly.
Value & Cleanliness: For a “basic” hotel, having a Ruth’s Chris Steak House on site is ironic — the restaurant standards far exceed those of the hotel itself. If only the rooms, breakfast, and cleanliness matched.
Overall: A poor experience from start to finish. Overpriced, underwhelming, and yet another example of the USA charging premium rates for third-rate service. I won’t be back.
