I recently stayed at The Fairmont Winnipeg and had a wonderful experience. The hotel felt truly luxurious—fancy, spotless, and remarkably quiet. The staff were exceptionally attentive and devoted, going above and beyond with thoughtful touches like holding doors or even pressing elevator buttons when my hands were full. Speaking of elevators, they were impressively fast—a rare and very welcome perk in a hotel.
My room was beautiful, with a wonderfully comfortable bed that made for a great night’s sleep. I also tried the in-room dining, which, while a bit pricey (as is typical for hotels), was excellent in both quality and presentation.
There were only a couple of minor drawbacks: the Wi-Fi wasn’t complimentary, which was disappointing, and while most floors had ice rooms, only two actually had machines, with small printed signs directing you elsewhere. It would have been helpful if that detail had been mentioned at check-in.
Overall, though, these were small inconveniences in an otherwise first-class stay. I’d happily return and recommend The Fairmont Winnipeg to anyone seeking a refined, comfortable, and well-serviced hotel experience.
