We had high hopes for Hotel Le Germain, but our stay was far from pleasant. Upon arriving in our room on the 18th floor, we were met with a constant, droning noise that caused persistent headaches. It turns out the 17th floor directly below is the mechanical room, likely the source of the disruptive sound. Unfortunately, the hotel staff didn’t warn us about this when assigning our room.
To make matters worse, the "mini bar" in the room, which appeared to be a fridge, was not refrigerated. This was a significant issue as my wife’s medication requires cold storage, and we had to rely on ice from another floor (which was unplugged and not working at the time.).
Having stayed at the hotel William Gray earlier in the week, which was a far superior experience for just a slightly higher cost, I wouldn’t recommend Hotel Le Germain. If you must stay here, absolutely request a room away from the 18th floor.
