One night in Bham

Quite a nice stay at Bellis Inn. As far as we could see, the cleanliness was good. The room, overall, was good, especially at this price point. The was some upkeep for the management to catch up on, especially baseboard moulding in bathroom. It was quiet despite being next to a busy street. We will return.

Flys greeted us in the lobby as they didn’t have the AC on and the front doors were wide open. Check in was overly complicated with a $100 deposit. Posted weekly and monthly rates were a strong indicator the complimentary breakfast would be lacking(it was). No benefit of the doubt needs to be given. Do. Not. Stay. Here.

It was so loud I couldn’t sleep. The room smelled like smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. The door to the breakfast room, which required my key card, would not work and I had to get a clerk to let me in. The hotel allowed pets but there was no grassy place anywhere for pets to potty. I probably won’t stay there again.

There was construction going on outside my window until 5:50 in the morning. If I had known there was going to be construction, I would not have booked this hotel. The funny thing to was when I went for the iron someone had cut the plug-in off the cord. But Mario brought me up another one. I need to call them actually because they charged me the hundred dollars for the incidentals which I left the room and the exact shape I found it.
