The hotel is beautifully located and has great potential, but the room was quite worn and in need of some updating. The reception staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, there were no towels available at the pool, and the staff there were not particularly helpful when we asked about them. The restaurant was the biggest disappointment. Despite the restaurant only being about half full, we had to wait more than two hours for a table because, according to the staff, they were understaffed. Once seated, we had to wait a long time for our food. Although the food tasted good, it was not served hot, and the adults’ main courses were forgotten altogether. Even after reminding the staff, we had to wait a considerable amount of time before they arrived. The breakfast, however, was good and offered a nice variety. Overall, while the hotel has a lot of potential and the reception staff were excellent, the restaurant experience and some service issues significantly affected our stay.

I recently stayed at Hotel Marselis and left feeling thoroughly let down. Given the high price point, I had high expectations for quality, comfort, and service. Unfortunately, almost every aspect of the stay fell far short of what one should reasonably expect at this price level. First Impressions and Check-In My stay started poorly. The on-site parking was shockingly overpriced, especially when free street parking was available right next to the property. The receptionist was noticeably unfriendly and unhelpful, setting a sour tone right from the beginning. Room Quality and Comfort The room itself was a big letdown. It was worn, dated, and felt generally unclean. The most alarming discovery was a cockroach on the bathroom floor – not exactly what you want to see when paying premium rates. The entire hotel had a tired, dirty feel that no amount of high pricing could justify. Ventilation was practically non-existent. The room became uncomfortably hot during the night, with no effective air conditioning or fresh air circulation. Because it was a ground-floor room with a veranda, I was forced to leave the door open for some airflow. However, the veranda door was broken and could not be properly locked from the inside, meaning anyone could have walked straight into the room during the night. This was a serious safety concern that ruined any chance of a restful sleep. The bathroom also suffered from the same lack of ventilation, making it stuffy and unpleasant.

Fantastisk beliggenhed – bedre fås det ganske enkelt ikke. Jeg har brugt hotellet fast i forbindelse med min uddannelse det seneste år, og jeg vælger altid overnatningssteder med træningsfaciliteter. Hotellet reklamerer med træningsfaciliteter, og de er der også. Som løber har jeg imidlertid brug for et løbebånd, og hotellets løbebånd har været ude af drift i de seneste seks måneder. Det synes jeg ganske enkelt ikke er i orden. Enten bør det repareres, udskiftes eller fjernes fra beskrivelsen af faciliteterne. Jeg har flere gange spurgt personalet, hvornår problemet bliver løst, men får blot at vide, at den tekniske chef ikke ønsker at investere i et nyt løbebånd. Få nu styr på det! Hotel Marselis er et virkelig lækkert sted med en enestående beliggenhed og alt andet er top lækkert - Netop derfor giver det ingen mening at lade en forholdsvis lille detalje trække helhedsoplevelsen ned.

Efter min mening lever hotellet desværre ikke længere op til sine fire stjerner :( Det bærer desværre præg af at være et ældre hotel efterhånden, og standarden er efterhånden blevet forringet. Morgenmaden er også blevet mærkbart ringere de seneste fem år, hvor vi har boet på hotellet Derudover blev der begge dage spillet høj tyrkisk musik fra en nærliggende park, samtidig med at der kom kraftig grillrøg derfra Da hotellet ikke har aircondition, var vi nødt til at have vinduerne åbne, hvilket gjorde det svært at undgå både støj og røg En flot havudsigt kan desværre ikke opveje de øvrige oplevelser. Det var vores sidste ophold på hotellet

Dejligt værelse og udsigt. Meget sød receptionist der var utrolig behjælpelig. Morgenmaden var dog utrolig travlt. Bordet var fyldt med mågeklatter og blev ikke ryddet. Virkede ikke som et rart sted at være. Morgenmadspersonalet virkede træt og uhjælpelige. Fx. Var der ikke flere morgenkager, og ved forespørgsel kom der ikke flere ind. Det samme med frugt og nutella.

Perfekt läge, härligt med stranden precis utanför dörren och promenadavstånd till centrala Aarhus. Välstädat. Kräver dock lite kärlek i form av underhåll (främst balkongerna). Bra frukost. Hjälpsam personal. Vi var två vuxna och en tonåring och vi kan absolut tänka oss att bo här igen.
