⭐️⭐️☆☆☆ — Mixed Experience
When we arrived, we were greeted by one of the friendliest hotel employees I have ever met. She asked great questions, and we ended up having a meaningful conversation about education. She comes from an education background, and I’ve recently started working in that field myself, so it was a memorable and positive interaction. Her kindness was the highlight of our stay.
However, once we got to our room, things took a different turn. The hotel itself felt a bit sketchy, with visible damage to the furniture and walls. While the room wasn’t extremely dirty, the overall condition raised some concerns. As we always do, we checked the bedding and mattress for signs of pests or bed bugs and didn’t immediately see any issues.
What I am about to say is not a reflection of the wonderful employee who checked us in. After we got home, my wife began experiencing intense itching on her scalp. She was later diagnosed with lice. In 12 years of marriage, this is the first time she has ever dealt with lice, and our children were not with us on this trip. I am also bald, so we know it didn’t come from our household. Because of the timing and the condition of the room, we can’t help but suspect that the lice came from the hotel.
We truly appreciated the kindness of the staff, but unfortunately, the condition of the room and the aftermath of our stay will make us think twice before booking here again.
