The customer service is poor and certainly not at the level of a 5 star property. I was at the Courtyard Marriott Phuket and it far more esthetically pleasing and the polish and professionalism are on par with what one should expect from a luxury property. The staff here at the Seabed Grand lack the refined polish and professionalism of well trained high end hospitality employees. This is obvious by the way they present and interact with customers.
I had numerous issues during my brief stay. One of the things, I noted was that they had no washcloths? At the very least, they should be available upon request. They wasn't lotion or iron in the room either.
I went to go workout in the gym, only to find that it was closed as of 10 pm. All high end facilities that I have visited provide access to these facilities 24 hours a day. I called front desk for water and was told that I would have to come down to the lobby as there was no staff to deliver it. Additionally, there was no extra toilet paper. This is unacceptable. The wifi is unreliable and constantly offline.
An alarm went off the entire night. I informed the front desk. However, the alarm continued on throughout the night. I barely got any sleep and had a miserable night.
The worst issue ocurred when electrical issues caused a small fire that burned out my adapter and shut down the power in my room. I was burned by a spark, thankfully it was minor. The hotel handled this poorly and took no accountability.
