We stayed at Oca Hotel for 10 days and really enjoyed our time there. The hotel is in an excellent location, right in the heart of Ribeira—just a minute’s walk from the Douro River and Ponte Luís I Bridge, and only a few minutes from major attractions such as Porto Cathedral, the historic old town, the Porto Cable Car, the famous São Bento train station, and many more. It’s also close to plenty of eateries, including some popular spots offering authentic Portuguese cuisine.
Our room was spotless—clean, neat, and tidy—with a reasonable amount of space and a small kitchenette (which we barely used during our stay). If you enjoy basic cooking, I would recommend choosing a studio-type room. Since we were on holiday, we preferred eating out.
Room cleaning is provided every three days, so during our 10-day stay, the room was cleaned twice. The staff, especially the reception team, were very welcoming and friendly. They were always happy to help if we needed anything—extra coffee capsules, tea, toilet paper, bottled water, or anything else.
Overall, we had a great experience and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Oca Hotel.
