Good older hotel, pretty noisy

Some minor things what should be taken care of before we arrived. Take in mind the hotel is old and very noisy. For sure not bad, the restaurant is excellent and the location top of the top. Parking is easy, staff is very helpful and friendly. Especially the waiter in the restaurant.

The hotel is located right besides the basilica with superb views of the mountains and immediate access to the road leading to the Covadonga lakes. It has the character of a mountain lodge. This is a beautiful hotel which is well situated to see the tomb of Pelayo and the basilica. Charming and full of character, this hotel is worth the money. The restaurant serves dinner with Asturian classics at a reasonable price. The only criticism is that the waiter could not tell us anything about the cheeses we were eating. As Asturias is known for its gastronomy, a hotel of this class should have staff who can talk about the food in either English or Spanish. That said, I would not hesitate to return.
