This is an old building that has been updated with the old charm kept intact. I've stayed there in the past and hope to stay again in the future. It's on the town square and thereare shops and restaurants within walking distance!

I gotta say most historic hotels I have stayed at are just something cool to say yeah I stayed there but probably wouldn't stay again! But this stay was something I'll remember! Staff was amazing, place is clean, beds are nice, pillows are nice, linens are nice! And don't even get me started on the food, holy smokes! What a awesome place and I definitely want to come back this fall.

Nice rooms and very comfortable beds. I love the showers. The floors are kinda creaky when you walk on them in the halls.

Wonderful hotel on the square. The owner was super nice, the guy at the front desk waited on my due to traffic in the mountains to check me in. He was super nice. There’s history, cool decorations, modern class met old school charm. They did a wonderful job with the remodeling keeping the old feel and refurbishing it while ushering in modern amenities. You feel like you should be paying $500 a night, which in other areas it would cost that but Burnsville is a little nothing town and this place anchors it. Seriously, this has to be the coolest place in the whole town. 5 stars if you don’t stay here while passing through you missed out!

Our stay here was AWESOME!!! The staff was very friendly and check in/out were very easy. My wife and I stayed in the Carriage House which actually sits behind the main hotel which was a bit confusing initially. Our room was very spacious and sits above the Carriage House Sundries restaurant which has incredible breakfast! We bought a bottle of wine to take to our room the night before and the manager gave us 2 wine glasses to use in our room! Between the main hotel and the Carriage house is a courtyard with a bar and patio area where you can enjoy BBQ from the food truck. We will definitely be back!

Cute and charming- bring ear plugs
Cute, renovated hotel in the heart of downtown. Fireplace in lobby was great on a cold night. Staff was friendly and room was comfortable. Bathroom was updated but it took a long time to get less than hot water in the shower. Biggest issue was lack of sound proofing. The room doors open right into the hall (no hall/bathroom buffer like newer hotels) and you can hear every conversation outside your room. We could also hear the alarm of the person across the hall going off for over an hour. Would definitely bring earplugs if we stayed here again. The restaurant in the back was great and they are building a speakeasy in the basement.

Super nice, friendly, cozy hotel
We stayed at Burnsville on our way to KY for one night. We found the hotel easy & parking was OK in the town square, no problems at all. Checking in easy, super nice and friendly staff. The fire was crackling which was very much appreciated as it was 33 degs outside with a cool wind blowing outside. The room (the Lumberjack) was adorable. Newly decorated and lots of brand new items in the room. Fantastic bathroom, literally - the best shower I have ever had in a hotel!! We had a coffee and pastry in the carriage house next door which is highly advised and dinner in the evening across the square at the Garden Deli, also can highly advise. We only had one thing to 'complain' about & that was the local police car was parked next door overnight & due to the cold, the siren went off at 4.30 AM for an hour and a half! We are early birds anyway, but definitely no fault of the hotel. We loved it so much, we really want to come back
