Stayed in Room 6 for 1 night. First the bad bits :
Toilet had very slight weep from soil pipe at back that dribbled across the bathroom floor.
TV didn’t work. Aerial disconnected and no way to join the 2 halves of lead. And no remote. Clearly had not been checked or tested.
Very poor sound insulation between our room and next door. Could hear the tv, normal speaking voices quite clearly, and the snoring during the night!!
The room is at the front of the building overlooking a junction. As it’s only single glazed it can be bit noisy with traffic. Didn’t bother me as used to traffic noise at home.
Good bits: Staff very helpful and friendly.
Bed was soft, comfortable and sheets clean.
Room /bathroom clean.
Pub itself very comfortable. Usual pub grub fayre bit limited but spicy chicken wings, fish & chips, sticky toffee pudding, hot and tasty.
Though no cooked breakfast available, a croissant, small jar jam, and form of granola was in our room along with small bottle of milk in fridge.
There was however, a cafe across the road that did an excellent cooked breakfast on a Sunday morning.
We didn’t discover the bad bits about the room because we hardly spent any time in it until the night after the pub had closed. And because you let yourselves out and leave the room key in a pot by the door and the pub is closed, I couldn’t inform anyone of the condition of the room. Would I stay here again?? Possibly for 1 night
