Booked through Hotels.com without any problem. When we got there, the front desk had issues getting the reservation linked up, but gave me the key card without any instruction or information. Got to the room that was suppose to have two queen beds, but was only one king bed. When I asked the front desk about it , she said they didn’t have any more. No explaination, just stared at me. I brought up my reservation confirmation to show her. Her response was, “we don’t have any available.” Confused, I told her I had a reservation for and paid for a room with two queen beds. Her response was, “ Well, we don’t have any available. That is the risk you take when booking trough a third party.” I found her curtness, lack of explaination, and lack of being upfront from the time of check-in completely unacceptable for customer service. We will never book with Hampton Inn again since they cannot fulfill reservations from a third party. We did try to call Hampton Inn for a reason why they didn’t have our room, but the number on their website was a third party not a Hampton Inn employee!! She was the only rude worker we ran into. The rest of the staff were friendly and helpfull. Besides the service, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean except for spiderwebs, the floor tiles were cracked, the mirror was dirty, and the free breakfast was somewhat cold, and mostly breads.
