This was a "middle of the road" place. We stayed because we liked the idea of the indoor pool and hot tub, which were very nice. The room was a typical hotel room, kind of small with two double beds but fine. This place seems like they are on a "budget" and the landscaping was lacking, dead dry grass everywhere, the indoor courtyard looked like it could be very nice but the pond/waterfall was in disrepair, some of the hanging baskets outside looking half dead. The hallway to our room seemed very dirty. The ice machines were not working on our floor. The "free continental breakfast" was not very thrilling at all: sugary cereals, bagels, factory made cake, and hard boiled eggs, and typical dry oranges, old apples and some bananas for fruit. The coffee was ick. Our impression was that it was built to be lovely but now it is sliding as if they are just making it. The breakfast area and restaurant looked very nice though, they have porches to sit outside with plenty of rockers, the courtyard had chairs too but nobody was around. If you want to be right next to Great Wolf Lodge it's right outside the door. We tried to catch something to eat at the casino figuring a casino would be hopping, but hardly anything was open after 10 p.m. so that was a bummer. All in all, not bad enough to complain but not really wonderful enough to want to return.
