The staff were outstanding throughout my stay—friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Their excellent customer service made all the difference. Thank you to the entire team for your warm hospitality!

Excellent value for money and what the place lacked in terms of maintenance and upkeep is more than made up for in the range of facilities and friendliness of staff. It’s a huge place to upkeep and would likely swallow £1m to fully renovate and refurbish …so doubtless the owners are hoping for a big lotto win like the rest of us.

You get what you pay for in life, good price for what you get but the air conditioning situation was horrible in the 20 odd degree heat in our room. I would recommend to bring a fan. I would definitely use this hotel again as the swimming pool was great and has a gym and nice outside area aswell as friendly lovely staff.

Stayed at the hotel after a long day at alton towers. Staff were friendly and rooms easy to find, the rooms were clean and had a great night sleep before driving 3.5 hours home the next day. My son enjoyed the swimming pool. The hotel is run down but still beautiful with vintage tiled floors, beautiful garden. The bathroom was very outdated, for the price it suited us perfectly. There is a pub attached to the hotel which is lovely and not badly priced, there were 3 beautiful cats hanging around so if your planning on a stay bring cat treats, they will appreciate it

The staff were very helpful and the room was very clean, the only issue was there wasn't a fan in the room and it was very hot. Didn't have a chance to try the swimming pool as we were only there 1 night.

We stayed here for a weekend trip to Alton Towers after travelling up from the south of England. We paid £36 per room for three rooms, and for that price we were happy with what we got. We were given rooms in the courtyard, which was really convenient as we could park directly outside our doors. The beds were clean and comfortable, which is the most important thing for us. That said, the rooms are looking quite tired. The walls could do with a fresh coat of paint, all of the baths were heavily marked, and overall the rooms would really benefit from a refurbishment. At £36 a room, we accepted that you get what you pay for. We recently looked at booking again for a couple of weeks’ time and were surprised to see the price has almost doubled. Unfortunately, at the new price, we just don’t feel the rooms offer good value for money in their current condition. It’s a shame, as we would have happily returned if the pricing had remained more in line with what the accommodation offers.

Rooms were very clean and well maintained, you can see that they are currently updating the property. Only "negative" I could put would be to put get some mattress toppers, but not a massive thing! The building itself was beautiful, full of character. The pub attached was excellently priced and had a great atmosphere. Kitchen isn't up and running yet but plenty of delivery options available and staff are happy to let you eat your food in the bar/ on the premises. Facilities were excellent too, though we didn't use the pool or sauna we did go and have a look and will definitely be bringing the costumes for our next visit. Everything was really clean and well kept. And the staff were all just so friendly.

2/10 Poor

Stayed here for 2 nights found the staff not very chatty or friendly, room is very dated and had stains on the curtains and on the mattress protecter , black stain on the pillows , could have done with some chairs on the balcony too , location was very good and very quiet,I know it’s a old building but some modernising in the rooms would be good .we didn’t use any off the facilities as we was only there for a family emergency.but wouldn’t stay again

Didn’t receive a warm friendly welcome on arrival. When I checked into the room I was greeted with a unflushed toilet. After stepping out of the shower that evening I nearly stepped on a razor blade that was left on the floor. Bed could’ve been more comfortable but the sheets were clean. If they offer you a fan, take it!!

Really badly ran hotel. No WiFi, no food on site, no breakfast. Music blasting till early hours of the morning. No 24 hr reception. Just a really really poor hotel I now know why it was so cheap! Will not be returning.

2/10 Poor

I spent 30 minutes at the hotel before checking out and booking a room elsewhere. The room was dirty, specifically the bathroom where the shower tray had some type of growth around the edges. The sound insulation was so poor we could hear everything going on in the room below us. The bed was incredibly springy and not at all comfortable. When I checked in I was given no information, just a key. I had to ask how to get to the rooms which was in no way self explanatory as there was no signage. I found this hotel by searching online, and looking at the photos it seemed lovely. I made the mistake of not looking at the photos on this app. Their website has AI images. You can see in one of the photos it says Moobyelle Hall, where AI has got the wording wrong, and the other images have their own discrepancies also. Just avoid this hotel is the bottom line. It’s not good at all. I can appreciate time to do renovations, but these rooms were the worst I have ever seen in a hotel. Nothing made it comfortable or clean feeling. Stay elsewhere!

We were really happy with our stay given the price we paid. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Amenities great with pool, sauna, gym etc for extra £10. Good pub and pool tables. With a bit of a clean and decorate this place could be amazing. The ballroom was very glam and I loved the old leather sofas everywhere. Alton towers 20 minutes away.
