We travel to Banff regularly, and were very excited for our first stay at The Moose. The primary reason we choose The Moose on this trip was for the rooftop hot tubs, sauna, and mountain views. It was disappointing to go up for our first soak to realize only one tub was open, and the other and the sauna were
completely blocked off, also obstructing the view. Nowhere on the website,
nor during the booking or check in process was this mentioned. With this being one of the primary amenities of this hotel, and main reason we choose it, this was really disappointing.
The rooms were fine, but a bit dated. We really appreciated the Rocky Mountain Soap Co amenities. However, the thermostat did not have an option to keep the room a steady temperature, which was odd. We also had a few burnt out light bulbs in our room, and the in-room coffee option was very dated.
For a 4-star hotel with prices to match, we found our stay underwhelming and likely would not book here again. We have been loyal customers of another high end hotel in Banff for years now, and this stay solidified that choice for us.
