This is a very comfortable, simple inn. The owners are attentive and the breakfasts are very good--great value for the area. We also enjoyed the English couple operating the place--very engaging and accommodating. We would definitely stay there again if we find ourselves in the area.

The lodge was a great choice for our ski trip. Very close to the mountain and the shuttle stopped right at the property. Also close to restaurants and shops.

Nice accommodation for the night

This place is a older and dated but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. We appreciated the hot tub, and the fresh cooked breakfast. We would stay here again.

It is such a great experience. Very cozy and comfortable. Clean and convenient to stores and Mount snow resort. We would luv to come back for sure! I can see the owners take great care of their property and business!

Charming and simple. Everything you would expect in a Vermont lodge. Breakfast was included. It would have been nice to have amenities like tea and coffee outside of breakfast hours.

The staff/owner was a very nice person. The breakfast to order was the first for me. I am used to the buffet set-up. I enjoyed this set-up. I wish there was more things to do around the area.

Was not happy being told one price then i get here and they charge me more then expected...also no a.c. in the room and for money paid the beds were horrible staff was friendly and place was clean but for the money horrible

Choose Room Carefully

It is being worked on. Great outside place for kids to play or just to sit out. The room had no extras like a refrigerator and was very hot for sleeping even though the heat was off. We could open the window which helped. We booked late so might have enjoyed a different room. The breakfast was limited but excellent if you like the choices for the day. Also in winter the outside doors to the rooms are locked so carrying luggage downstairs was doable but not convenient. Very nice couple that run the lodge!!!!! Beds were ok but better for family than a couple with one queen and two twin.

Beautiful place to stay

The big bear lodge is a pretty great place to stay owners are super nice everything was clean each room has its own setup with different styles breakfast was great, the only thing is if you want snacks or drinks they do not have vending machines or ice machine so bring a cooler with you and snack other than that a super great place to stay !!!!

An old style inn that has a charm and comfort that makes it a great ski vacation accommodation for a couple. The owners were lovely and its conveniently located to the town.

My family stayed in a room with a queen and bunk beds. Mattresses were very uncomfortable; not enough pillows. There was no continental breakfast and breakfast options were sparse/small portions. Good view, ample parking.
