Respassa kokematon henkilö. Huoneessa sähköpistorasiat niin kaukana sängystä, että tarvittiin jatkojohto. Ravintolan ruoka erinomaista, mutta palvelu hidasta. Juomavalikoima suppea. Loistava idea jalkapallon MM kisojen näyttäminen klo 22 jälkeen, mutta miksei sitä kerrottu asiakkaille, vaan kerrottiin valomerkin tulevan 21.30.

Nyt osui useampi pieni vastoinkäyminen, kylpytakkeja ei ollut, varauksemme ei ollut kirjautunut ja kun asia korjattiin manuaalisesti, yöpymisemme oli merkitty päivää lyhyemmäksi ja meitä tultiin toisena aamuna häätämään huoneesta, kun olimme vielä nukkumassa. Muutoin viihdyimme hyvin.

Yhden yön matkalla ei ehtinyt kaikkeen tutustua, esim ruokapuolelta vain aamupala, joka oli kyllä aivan riittävä ja maukas. Huone oli muuten ok, mutta vanha kokolattiamatto voisi mennä vaihtoon. Plussaa parvekkeesta, josta loistavat järvi/joki näkymät. Kylpylä ok, tosin itse huonona uimarina käytin vain porealtaita, allas liian syvä .Terassit rannassa kylpylän yhteydessä upeita ja laituri jolta pääsee veteen suoraan kylpylästä. Kylpytakki ja tossut kuului myös hintaan. Vaikka kulumista näkyvissä, osa on uusittu selvästi ja näyttää hyvältä. Asiakaspalvelu hyvää.

Spa-osaston saunat eivät olleet mielestäni riittävän kuumia. Sisäallas oli tosi kiva, samoin mahdollisuus uida ulkona jäevessä. Aamiainen oli oikein hyvä puuroineen ja kahvi oikeata kunnon kahvia. Haluaisin ensiksi kiittää Hotellin Kumpelin henkilökuntaa siitä, että minulle tarjottiin korotettua superior-huonetta syntymäpäivän kunniaksi. Hotellilla on hieno kylpylä ja yhdessä vaimoni kanssa meillä oli hauskaa siellä. Mutta moitittavaa on. Ensiksi ihmeteltiin, miksi Heinolan Kymijoesta tai Ruotsalainen -järvestä haisi lähes koko ajan pahalle rikille, joka ulottui huoneeseeni asti. Kävi ilmi, että Heinolaa lähempänä oleva Stora Enson tehdas domppaa jätettä veteen aiheuttaen sitä hajua. Tämä tilanne on muka ollut näin monta vuosikymmentä! Tämä paha haju aiheutti itselleni ja keuhkoilleni suurta haittaa kuin hyvää, kun tarkoitukseni saada 2 päivän yöpymisestä jonkilaista toipumista keuhkosairaudelle, jonka kärsin. Toinen moitittava asia on se, että aamupalan taso ei vaikuttanut 4 tähden hotellin tasolta, vaan juuri ja juuri 2 tähden. Olen muissa 4 tähden hotellin aamupalaa syönyt ja ero on kyllä huikea. Kolmas moitittava oli huoneen sänky, joka myöskään ei vaikuttanut superior-tasoiselta, kun suojauspatja liikkui sivuttaisesti pois sängystä. Neljäs moitittava on se, että hotellin suolahuonessa oleva levitinkone ei toiminut ja huolto oli muka tilattu, mutta ei ole saatu korjattua. Hotelli suolahuone oli yksi syistä, miksi valitsin juuri tätä hotellia oman hengitysteiden hyvinvointiani varten. Kokemukset itselleni Hotelli Kumpelissa oli valitettavasti enemmän haitallista kuin hyödyllistä. Voisin suositella pelkästään kylpylän käyntiä, jos jollakin on kiinnostusta.
