The Park is definitely a worthwhile splurge. Room was well appointed and the staff was warm and friendly. Kenmare is a great backdrop for a wonderful trip. If I had to make a "complaint" it would be that the carpet is so thick and plush it made pulling the wheeled luggage challenging, but that is not a serious complaint.

For property that was opened up in the 1800s, there are modern conveniences and amenities. Location is perfect, the staff is friendly and nice, and the spa is over the top. The building is very old, but everything else gets an A+ plus. there was a concert of instrumental musicians in the lobby on the night that I arrived, which was extraordinary.

what a hotel :) and the team were just amazing, special thanks to the manager of the front desks to accommodates us and offer us even better room, during our stay every one in the hotel were amazing, so nice and kind and took care of our needs. Excellent service and fantastic Kerry welcome. Perfect location in centre of town while providing wonderful views of the gardens and Kenmare River. Very much and old style, old world hotel in the best way. Spa is very modern and high spec, especially the fantastic pool. The rooms we were in were very comfortable but the decor was quite tired and in need of a refurbishment. Not least the odd, 70s looking contraption in the bathroom with shaving and blow drying controls.
