Valletta is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that offers plenty of incredible experiences in Malta. Surrounded by grand fortifications on the Mediterranean coast, the city was founded in the 1500s by the Knights of St John. Its many Baroque buildings are very well preserved, offering plenty of photo opportunities.

While it’s one of the most important historical sites in the archipelago, there are plenty of modern sights to enjoy – even after dark. The Valletta Waterfront hosts several high-class restaurants with views of docked cruise ships and the Mediterranean Sea. If you’re looking for a fun night out, Strait Street offers a wide range of entertainment, including quirky exhibition spaces, jazz bars, cabarets, and theatres.
